In 2020 Friends of Bleecker Playground were awarded $1.55MM for renovations. Let’s make sure it gets used correctly! See our letter below.
PLEASE JOIN THE FOLLOWING CALL ON WEDNESDAY AT 6.30PM if you want your voice heard regarding our renovation. There is alot of planning and work that goes into it, and we need you!
FROM CHIEF OF STAFF, NY PARKS:
"I am writing to let you know that we will be presenting a plan for the partial renovation of Bleecker Playground to the Community Board 2 Parks & Waterfront Committee next Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom, and this will be the second item on the agenda following an update on the reconstruction of the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center. The plan for Bleecker Playground provides for upgrading the play equipment and safety surface and improving ADA access throughout the park.
I hope that you and others from the Friends group can attend. You will be able to see the plan and offer your comments. Please help us spread the word about the meeting".
